
There’s two reasons that I’d highly recommend getting one before you head off on your travels.
The first being your credit rating. If you’re jetting off around the world for a year or so, your credit rating could (and will) be impacted. Probably more than you realise. The second reason, and perhaps the more beneficial of the two, is what sense does it make to spend your hard earned cash and not get rewarded for it? It doesn’t.
Particularly when a large majority of credit cards allow you to earn points that can be redeemed for flights, give you cashback, and some even ensure that you’ll never be charged a fee no matter where in the world you use it.
