I love these bars. They're easy to make, if not just a little time consuming on the preparation side of things. The best thing about these bars is you know exactly what's inside – a definite plus from store bought bars. With this recipe in particular, you don’t necessarily have to follow it to the word. Depending what’s available in-store and what you like/dislike, you can fully personalize these breakfast bars to your heart's content.

  • 200 g raisins
  • 100 g dried figs
  • 100 g prunes
  • 100 g mixed nuts
  • 100 g crushed gluten free cereal I use EnviroKidz Organic Peanut Butter Panda Puffs
  • 300 g fruit yoghurt I use Hipp Organic Just Fruit – Apple, Peach & Mango
  1. Preheat the oven to 140°
  2. Crush the gluten free cereal
  3. Crush the mixed nuts
  4. Finely cut the prunes and figs
  5. Add the raisins & yoghurt
  6. Mix thoroughly
  7. Cook for 15 - 20 minutes
  8. Allow to fully cool
  9. Slice into bars, size according to preference
