Gluten in Coffee?
While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with freshly ground coffee. Quite the opposite really. It can become problematic for people who suffer from coeliac disease or a gluten intolerance, if and when they opt for coffee from a sachet or vending machine.
Well… it’s not uncommon for these types of coffee to contain gluten.
In my experience, I always find it best to avoid cheap, plastic cup coffee. Unless I know exactly how it’s been made and what’s been used to make it.
It’s not all bad news though!
Coffee shop coffees always tends to be okay and full of antioxidants and beneficial nutrients that can actually improve your overall health in many ways. But more on that later.
Side note: Try to use honey or agave to sweeten your coffee. Syrup is a great hiding place for gluten.
