I’m an ex-(award-winning) creative, who has spent my life travelling, growing up or residing in all four corners of the globe. I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with some of the world’s leading Creative Directors on multi-national, multi-channel campaigns.
My agency days have now come to an end. I’ve finally chosen to throw in the proverbial towel on the corporate rat race. Taking time to fully focus on brand identity, strategy & content creation, in the fields of lifestyle, travel & wellness.
My journey has taken me full circle… I’ve become very lost, many times, along the way. But my path always seems to lead me back to the very start of my journey; with a huge focus on kindness and taking time to do what makes my soul happy.
As a Lifestyle, Wellness & Travel blogger, my journey focuses on mindful wellbeing. I’m travelling the globe in search of health and happiness. More importantly, I’m here to provide you with lifestyle, travel and wellness tips. Helping you to reconnect with your mind, body and soul.
In today’s rush we all think too much – seek too much – want too much – and forget about the joy of just being. ∼ Eckhart Tolle
Our suffering stems from ignorance. We react because we do not know what we are doing, because we do not know the reality of ourselves. The mind spends most of the time lost in fantasies and illusions, reliving pleasant or unpleasant experiences and anticipating the future with eagerness or fear. While lost in such cravings or aversions, we are unaware of what is happening now, what we are doing now. Yet this moment, now, is the most important for us. We cannot live in the past; it is gone. Nor can we live in the future; it is forever beyond our grasp. We can live only in the present. If we are unaware of our present actions, we are condemned to repeating the mistakes of the past and can never succeed in attaining our dreams in the future. But if we can develop the ability to be aware of the present moment, we can use the past as a guide for ordering our actions in the future, so that we may attain our goal. ∼ S.N. Goenka
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. ∼ Dalai Lama
I’m also a YTT200 qualified yoga teacher and absolutely adore yoga. I find one of the greatest things about yoga is that it’s suited to absolutely everyone, even children and those with injuries. For me, my yoga journey started very rehab focused, but then I discovered just how amazing it was. And how it was the one and only thing that allowed me to quiet my mind and reconnect with my body. It gave me the opportunity to escape the stress of day-to-day life, while strengthening and toning my body at the same time.
Wine, where to begin? There’s always a perfect glass for every occasion. The complexity and taste never cease to amaze me. I find the whole process amazing. And I was lucky enough to pass my WSET Level 2 with a 98% distinction from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust.
Aside from wine and yoga, I’m also a HUGE foodie. Anything raw, organic, gluten free, dairy free or refined sugar free. This way of living may have become more of a prominent fixture in my life when I was diagnosed with coeliac disease back in 2011, thankfully the world now caters a lot better to those suffering from coeliac and other allergies.
I really hope this blog helps you in one way or another. Or at the very least, makes you think, if even for a second, of ways in which you can reconnect with your mind, body and soul.
